NATO NTM IRAQ (NATO Training Mission Iraq ) Medal

Awarded to military personnel assigned to the NATO training force serving in Iraq as an element of the Multinational Security Transition Command – Iraq – headquartered in Baghdad. MNSTC-I is tasked with assisting the Iraqi government train, mentor, and equip its armed forces and civil security forces. The NATO presence in the country as part of the command commenced in the country during the summer of 2004 and continues today.
